5 Ways to Get the Best Value from Your Sandals Vacation

Sandals Resorts, is that well known all-inclusive brand that is popular for honeymoons, anniversary trips and destination weddings. This brand has grown into one of the biggest and most well-known brands in the Caribbean. With 17 resorts to choose from on 7 different islands, each with a different vibe, there is definitely the perfect resort for everyone.

And, yes, they are known for providing luxury experiences. But, did you also know that these luxury experiences can be very affordable? And their all inclusive package contains much more than the average all inclusive brand.

Keep reading to find out how you can get the best pricing and also the best bang for your hard earned buck!

1) Be Spontaneous

If you are one of those last minute spontaneous people, then chances are you can take advantage of some free night opportunities. To fill gaps at various resorts and room categories. Sandals offers some last minute deals where you can get 1 night free when you stay 3 or 4 nights. The resorts and room categories change frequently, but its a great way to save a little money. You can REALLY benefit if you have points to use for airfare.

2) Be Flexible

Another way to take advantage of some amazing opportunities is to be flexible with your travel dates. Every week, Sandals releases their 7-7-7 promotion where for 7 days, 7 room categories at 7 different resorts will have an additional 7% savings off the rack rate price.

Some of these deals are AMAZING!!! Again, you have to be flexible and I wouldn't really expect to see this opportunity during say Spring Break. They do this, again, to fill those gaps. The very best prices with this promotion and in general will be in the fall which is considered low season in the Caribbean. It's also hurricane season, so make sure to add that trip insurance!

3) Choose a Luxury Room Category

Sandals has 3 different types of room categories, luxury, club and butler. I will get into more detail about the differences in another blog post. But, for now, just know that the luxury rooms are the entry level rooms.

You won't get room service or some other extra attention and you may not have the best room location, but you will still be on the resort and will still get that all-inclusive luxury experience.

All your meals, drinks, watersports, etc. will still be included. So, if you can live without room service, then this is a good way to save a few bucks. But, for me, I really like not having to get up and get dressed to go to breakfast on vacay. I'm kinda lazy, so I try to cut corners another way.

4) Consider Airfare When Choosing the Resort

Airfare is crazy lately! So, choose an island that has good airfare options. For example, my closest airports are Memphis and Nashville. Usually, I can find better airfare prices to Jamaica than say Barbados.

Whenever, I am helping couples choose the right resort, I always make sure that the airfare AND the resort cost will fit within their budget.

5) Choose Resorts that are Near Other Sandals

Did you know that in St. Lucia there are 3 Sandals Resorts within a short distance of each other? When you stay at 1, you can play at all 3. Shuttle service is provided between all 3 resorts so you try the restaurants and enjoy the amenities at all 3 resorts.

Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados are right next door to each other, so you can easily enjoy the shared amenities there as well.

Jamaica also has some resorts that are also in close proximity. Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean are about 10 minutes away from each other. Guests staying at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios can also easily enjoy the amenities at Sandals Ochi ( but not vice versa) Even Sandals Negril can share with Beaches Negril Resort which is the family version of Sandals and is within walking distance just down the famous 7 Mile Beach!

So, as you can see, there are many ways that I can help you get the most out of your Sandals vacation! Go ahead! Look around on my Sandals Site and check out all the resorts and availability. Then, when you have decided on a timeframe and a budget, reach out and let me help you choose the right resort for you.
