How to Choose the Perfect All Inclusive Resort

First of all, if you are looking to go to an all inclusive resort, you will most likely need a passport. Although there are a few in the U.S. Virgin Islands, they are not the all inclusive resorts you may be dreaming of.

Most of the all inclusive resorts can be found in Mexico, Los Cabos, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.

A few options can be found on other islands such as St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, Grenada, Curacao, St. Maartan, the Bahamas and Aruba.

All inclusive resorts will include all meals, snacks, drinks, alcohol, non motorized watersports, and entertainment. Depending on the brand, some even include tips, motorized watersports and excursions.

Budget to luxury, there is surely a resort for everyone. But, when choosing the right one for you, there are many things to consider to make sure you have the experience you are dreaming of.

All All-Inclusive Resorts are not the same. Each one has its own personality. It takes some research to find the one that is perfect for you.

Are you a beach person or a pool person? Now, living in Tennessee that may seem like a crazy question, but there are people who care nothing for the beach, but just want a fabulous pool with a great swim-up bar.

Your answer to this question can determine not only which resorts might be right for you, but which island and/or what time of the year would be best for your trip.

What kind of accommodations would you like? Do you want to party like a rock star or do you want to chill in the peace and quiet?

Do you like crowds or do you want to bask in antisocial behavior? Are you craving a

luxurious experience or is beachy and laid back your style?

Do you plan on leaving the resort to explore the island or do you plan on only seeing the front desk on the way back to the airport?

Do you get car sick easily? You may need to choose a resort that doesn't cut through the island. Are you short on time? Then, it might be best to choose a resort closer to the airport.

Are you coming with other people? Then, what kind of bedding or bedrooms do you need?

If you are bringing your kids will you want double beds, a suite, 2 bedrooms or are you just all gonna pile up in a king bed?

Is waking up to seeing an unobstructed view of the ocean a must? Or are you ok with a resort or garden view?

Do you want to try one of those swim-up suites that you see online? Or do you just want to take the least amount of steps possible to get from your room to the sand?

Are you ok with having to leave the room for every meal and snack? Or is room service an absolute must? Or how about a Butler Suite where your every wish....well almost....can be accommodated?

Are you good with a 3 star resort just as long as you have a clean room, good bed and something to eat and drink?

Or are you a "it's vacation" kind of person who needs a 5 star luxury hotel because after all you only live once?

Or do you want the the best you can get as long as you stay within your budget?

And, speaking of budget....you must have some kind of idea of how much you can and/or are willing to spend. If you have a realistic budget, then normally, if you are willing to prioritize your wish list, we can find you the perfect option.

So, choosing an all-inclusive resort is not for the faint of heart. There are lots of things to consider when choosing the right one for you. Sure, you can just pick the least expensive option, but haven't we all learned at least once in our life that the least expensive is not always the best nor is it always what we thought it would be.

Are you ready to find the perfect all-inclusive to celebrate that special occasion or just celebrate life?
